This beautifully animated short feature from the Center for Investigative Reporting shows that, despite popular opinion, petrol prices are too low. The external costs of gasoline are incredibly high, damaging human health, crop growth, water safety, the climate and the global environment. The video makes the point that even though high petrol prices hurt ordinary people, we are already paying the price because gasoline causes around US$15 of damage to the environment and the economy for every gallon used.
